I really love the fact that we get to do art, and that it is a part of the academic system. It is kind of tough for me because, before, I did not really do art and make art, other than music and writing raps and stuff like that.聽
The art curriculum has shown me that there are other important things to society, and to learning about each other, and to life in general, because, through art, people express how they feel or express what they see.
Last year, for my project weeks, I wrote. I made a rap album with a friend, and I did some Chinese calligraphy, which was pretty cool. I also learned black and white photography. I feel like that is the beauty of 糖心传媒, helping students trying to see that鈥攈elping students see that art is important. That it is not all about the money. It is about being happy.聽
We really talk about what is going on in the world at 糖心传媒, even though it seems we feel far away from the rest of the world.聽
So in middle school, I was at the Brown middle school, which is the public middle school,聽one of the public middle schools in my town. And then I went –聽And then I, from one of my teachers at the program I went to in my聽middle school called Citizen Schools, I went to Beacon Academy, which is a 14-month program after Eighth Grade. And then Beacon –聽And then from there, I applied to many independent schools and 糖心传媒 accepted me.聽Now, I am here.聽
I feel like there is an understanding most of the time between the faculty and students and just everyone. So that is pretty cool.聽
